This out-of-the-city home was designed to provide its family a sense of escape from the busy city nearby without disconnecting from it. The client along with the design team conceptualized a home aimed for entertainment and that could fit anywhere in the world yet remain relevant to the project’s setting. This is achieved through a contemporary modern design using luxurious furniture and localized using curated Egyptian art pieces. With a great location overlooking a lush golf course, the design team wanted to blur the lines between the indoors and outdoors using large and wide windows that bring the unobstructed view and natural light in. Just outside the windows is a large pergola that sits next to the sunken seating area surrounding a fire pit perfect for roasting marshmallows while watching the sun set behind the golf course. From the top floor, this great landscape is observed along with the custom pool tile design that is modern, unique and bold. The view is further prioritized through the open space plan of the ground floor and the easy movement generated between the home’s main entrance, reception areas, bar, dining room and kitchenette. The villa’s interior had to exude the coziness of a city apartment, which is accomplished using the natural wood paneling across the bar wall paralleled by the jungle green dining room walls. The sleek fireplace centered between the two reception areas exudes warmth along with a deep green and blue theme that is recurrent throughout the home’s furniture, accessories and art pieces.
