This is a detached villa located in a housing estate called Tan Palace in Ningbo. The designer decided to break the original constraints of architecture and space after fully communicating with the owner. The entrance door of the basement was changed from the north side to the east, which greatly improved the lightning and space utilization. The high foyer design not only connected both floors but also enhanced the visual tension of the space. This sense of ceremony when entering the house conveyed the message that the designer wanted to tell the owner: home is the warmest embrace for you and every day you come back will be full of joy……

When entering the house, you can see the stairs indistinctly through a kind of pattern glass. The red armchair of Pliform SANTA MONICA together with the wooden side table of Poliform NARA is extremely stylish and striking with the elegant and soft light of the floor lamp of FOSCARINI Tobia. In front of you is a long laminated cabinet of which the hidden door was designed with an architectural way and formed the change of the space.

Along the stairs to the basement first floor, you’ll see the master’s bookcase in the study was designed according to the light. When night falls, a touch of blue makes the room especially quiet. A villa without courtyard is not a true villa as it is the place where nature and humanity blend, where the indoor, architecture and environment echo with each other. Sitting on a leisure chair in the courtyard, you’ll be surrounded with fresh green plants and elegant candle light. It is a great time to enjoy the moonlight and good wine and let your heart be full of love.

The ground floor was designed from the entrance of courtyard by organizing the original trivial space layout. An irregular corner space was designed as a public toilet and laundry room hidden behind the wooded foyer. The integrated guest restaurant formed an open living space and a social place for daily gatherings.

Two picture windows of both the south and north side in the meeting room bring the sky and courtyard into view. A beautiful courtyard is a good way to express a simple and natural attitude toward life while exquisite Italian furniture and art display reflect the pursuit of qualified life. Different materials, colors, lines and implements resemble a progressive melody in the change of light, presenting the rhythm of space and delight your sensory nerves.

The master suite is in the second floor with the study in the east side and balcony forming a leisure space that blends inside and outside space. A complete set of Poliform furniture in the master room with different colors, materials and textures, seems like a silent language speaking about the beauty of artistic life. The exquisite bathtub and window in the bathroom form the dialogue between people and the scenery.
