Tamara Mellon is a luxury shoe brand that expanded its brick and mortar operations to NYC in 2020. The store is based on Tamara's own grand shoe closet in LA.

We wanted the customer to walk into the store and feel as though they’re walking down their own hallway into their personal wardrobe. From the outside, an overarching serpentine structure, used as the focal point to the seasonal store window, draws you into the space. As you enter the store, the slatted window display transitions into an oak paneling system that guides you along the hallway.

Finally, the space opens up into a grand shoe closet where customers can browse the colorful array. Wooden archways tie the areas together and warm the space while the velvet couches, textured wallpaper, and chandelier give it a feeling of home.
