The TAIKOO LI XI’AN OFFICE project in Xi'an, China, upholds the principles of people-oriented development, sustainability, and community enrichment. Combining local historical culture with advanced development concepts, it aims to create a diverse cultural workspace and exchange platform. Situated in the historic cultural area of Anren Fang and the Xiaoyan Pagoda within the layout of the Tang Dynasty's Chang'an City, it is adjacent to the renowned royal temple, Jianfu Temple. Swire Properties, with its wealth of experience and expertise in urban renewal and community development, is dedicated to creating a vibrant international landmark.

The designers embrace the spirit of preservation, inheritance, and innovation, respecting and promoting local heritage culture to craft a sustainable and innovative multi-cultural office space. Originally an unused school practice field, the project employs the concept of environmental reuse. Some paving blocks were reclaimed from the site's archaeological excavations, and historically significant bricks and tiles were utilized in the space design, telling the story of the urban renewal plan's original intention and significance. Simultaneously, the design of outdoor gardens balances aesthetics, functionality, ecology, and cultural impact, injecting vitality into the surrounding community and city while creating sustainable development value.

In terms of interior design, the project prioritizes employee comfort and health, enhancing quality of work and life through thoughtful space layout and high-quality environments. The office area adopts multifunctional design, creating a diverse and inclusive ecological combination to provide employees with a flexible and creative work environment. Designers also infused artistic elements into different functional areas, such as art installations on feature walls and the selection of flooring materials, allowing employees to relax and find inspiration during work breaks.

Various technological means are employed to optimize space lighting, ventilation, and comfort, improving the quality of work and living environments, demonstrating outstanding performance in employee health and well-being in both indoor and outdoor space design. Additionally, after undergoing comprehensive assessment by the International WELL Building Institute, the TAIKOO LI XI’AN OFFICE became the first office space in the five northwestern provinces of China to achieve the highest level of WELL Platinum Certification for health building standards.

In summary, the TAIKOO LI XI’AN OFFICE project is not only an office space but also an exemplary embodiment of sustainable development principles and urban renewal plans, injecting new vitality into the local community while providing employees with a comfortable, healthy, and creative work environment.
