Surrounded by many places of interest and historical sites, the site is also closely connected to local commercial facilities. Based on the case study, this single apartment is targeted at urban white-collars who enjoy a smart living in a metropolitan city. To raise the utilization ratio of the space, we removed all partitions and made a floor area to enhance the sense of spaciousness. The kitchen area was rearranged to be near the entrance, making the layout compact. The leisure area is next to the kitchen, with its open plan and transparent area, it serves as both the living room and dining room. Furniture divides the space according to daily functions instead of walls. The waist-high table can be treated as a dining table or just a tea table, based on the needs of the owner. The boundary between the public area and the private area is blurred because of a glass sliding screen. At the end of the room is a large floor-to-ceiling window. The depth of the space is enhanced by sufficient lighting, and the bustling streetscape is also insight. Grey wallpapers, along with white plaster ceiling, formed a soothing colour palette that pep up spirits and rinsing one's mind. Paintings of Joan Miró inspired the designer when they select furniture and accessories.
