Sustainability in trade fair construction - a proof

Austrian engine manufacturer Innio Jenbacher, including its German subsidiaries, sought an innovative exhibition concept for the 2022 Energy Decentral trade fair in Hannover. Led by ENERGAS BHKW GmbH, the project aimed to reflect the current state of the energy transition, emphasizing sustainability.

Sales and service reps actively contributed to the booth's design, fostering an open and conversational atmosphere. Interaction points were strategically placed for spontaneous discussions without disturbance.

Banner graphics conveyed current topics, adaptable for each fair. Transparent image banners and double-sided printed theme banners served as effective barriers without creating an enclosed space.

Inspired by containerized Biogas plant engines, the stand featured a pipe system in RAL6018, symbolizing gas and heat conduits. A wooden and container metal replica mimicked a container, housing gastronomy, storage, and presentations.

The furniture, primarily Lerchen solid wood, maintained a subdued style, offering durability and a tactile, grounding nature element. The entire stand could be efficiently stored on four Euro pallets in a high rack.

The stand's success in Hannover 2022 and Nuremberg 2023 affirmed its groundbreaking nature. Beyond its eye-catching design, the sustainable construction demonstrated that aesthetics need not be compromised for eco-friendly exhibition solutions.

Design Briefing:
1. Emphasis on sustainability in line with the green energy transition.
2. Creation of dynamic content for adaptability and interaction.
3. Promotion of authentic interaction in a dialogue-friendly atmosphere.
4. Inclusion of familiar elements of the "Biogas Plant" product.
5. Balancing durability and aesthetics in material selection.
6. Optimization of storage efficiency.
