With the rapid development of science and technology, an increasing number of cutting-edge innovative technologies have been applied to the public security investigation system to deal with complex cases. High-technologies transforms the way of working of public security. Different departments can no longer work on their own, but need to cooperate with one and another to form a collaborative team consists of policemen with various classifications from different departments. 

When the old investigation center system and office space can’t meet the needs in the new era, it is imperative to upgrade to a new generation of police system. With the above-mentioned background, this project is an upgrade that satisfies the changing needs. The main body of the Smart Investigation Center is reconstructed from a four-storey office building that built in the late 1990s for the Municipal Police Bureau. In this project, we expect to adopt modern innovative technologies to create a high-efficient building that echoes with the image of policemen. 

Meanwhile, the building is able to function as a comprehensive command and combat center for inter-departmental and multi-police cooperation. The focus of the design is how to demonstrate functions and at the same time to meet the office needs of the Smart Investigation Center.
