Flooring & Wallcovering Finishes

Drawing inspiration from the cool and refreshing essence of the summertime, ‘Summer Vibe’ takes a unique perspective on the presentation of bubble tea stores. The concept envisions a space of creativity and exploration through its laboratory aesthetic, using a cool-toned palette with pops of colour throughout. The polished finishes, along with complementary colours allows the space to reflect the fresh and exciting sensations associated with summer.

Themes of exploration, experimentation and creativity are emphasised within the store, using references to space expeditions in graphic features and suggestions of the periodic table of elements incorporated within feature wall installations. Graphic lettering on 2pac panels act as points of interest and aim to depict the brands objective towards creating innovative products for consumers while maintaining a playful aesthetic. This becomes a direct reflection of Summer Vibe’s ideology of constantly aiming to test and develop new innovative flavours within their menu. Summer Vibe aims to become a welcoming space that catches the attention of the public.

The dynamic and open layout of Summer Vibe creates performative spaces for visual interaction with patrons. The space is a vibrant and playful environment, enhanced with flexible custom-made seating that invites this sense of interaction. With every small detail slightly different from the rest, the space offers an engaging atmosphere that welcomes an exciting synergy between patrons and staff. The centre counter becomes a performance space where patrons can visually interact with staff as their drinks are assembled.

Summer Vibe represents the brand’s desire for exploration and innovation. The store is a contemporary take on traditional bubble tea stores through both materiality and concept. The geometric mesh collides with the organic graphic forms ordained along the wall of the interior. Custom-made stainless steel features including side tables moulded into the seats create a chic, clean appearance of the store. Contemporary neon elements are incorporated throughout the walls and signage with the intention of adding points of interest across the store. Metallic surfaces reflect these LED and neon lights, contributing to a greater sense of depth through illusions of size within the space.

With its edgy materiality and dynamic features, Summer Vibe is a space that embodies experimentation and creativity while adhering to basic ecologically sustainable principles. The use of recyclable eco-friendly and locally-sourced materials such as Terrazzo and stainless steel follow environmentally sustainable design practice. Energy-efficient LED lighting is also used to effectively reflect on brightly coloured surfaces, which creates a futuristic ambiance and almost levitating appearance to the structure of the interior of the store.
