Spectacularly located in beautiful Bujairi in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Somewhere is an escape inspired by its surroundings. The interior journey is one of considered elegance, beautiful curation and bold discoveries, Somewhere becomes everywhere but home.

Somewhere is located in the heart of a heritage neighborhood village called Diriyah Gate, Bujairi. The design approach is to take the patrons on a journey that has an international energy and contemporary aesthetic.

The brief was to use nature as inspiration for the interior experience so we focused our attention on creating spaces of quiet desert accents offset with lush oasis greens.

Somewhere explores all possibilities of capturing the excitement of discovery and calm serenity in a single experience. The narrative revolved around the undulating landscape of the dunes and the soft undulations repeat itself throughout the dining experience. A beveled mirror wall installation frames the entryway and imitates the elusive nature of a moving dune. The sofas and chairs all have similar forms that give a feminine elegance to the dining spaces.

Verhaal commissioned a muralist for the palm tree artworks, to celebrate craftmanship and the imperfect. Each area on the space has its own personality that forms a cohesive and lovingly curated journey that is a true desert escape.
