SOCO WORK
“A co-working space for people who love and embrace changes.” The Thai style variety for the flavorful spirit of new generation workforce.

This fresh and eclectic co-working space is designed to accommodate people’s changing lifestyles, proposing new possible definitions of what a co-working space can be. Reflective of the context and user behaviors, the project is conceptualized and materialized with Thai people being the primary users. The design takes inspiration from Thai people's habit of seasoning their food, adding flavors to certain dishes to best meet their personal tastes. If one were to compare this co-working space to a type of delicious food, it would be that with a perfect combination of sour, sweet to salty and spicy tastes. Seasoned with different styles of design to meet users’ diverse demands, this co-working space puts great consideration in maximizing the efficiency of different natures of work.

SOCO Work takes inspiration from how Thai people like to season their food to have the taste closest to their personal preferences. The design concept, therefore, picks up on the approach that eventually creates different styles of workspace to comprehensively and exclusively cater to prospective tenants’ images and lifestyle, just like a variety of meticulously cooked dishes. The design also enables the spaces to be managed with the greatest efficiency, while strengthening the project’s strong points by increasing options for tenants.

The beauty of SOCO Work arises from the design's interpretation of the vitrify and diversity in the lifestyles of young generation of Thai workforce. The new definitions of ‘office space’ and ‘Thainess’ are conveyed through unique design languages and elements, such as the details of the furniture inspired by the shape and functionalities of condiment containers commonly provided alongside a variety of dishes in Thai cuisine, representing the concept behind the SOCO Work identity. The selected color tone for the walls symbolizes a wonderful blend of tastes for every workspace in the project to able to offer the most appealing, memorable and inspiring work experiences.

The colors of Bangkok, the sleepless, restless capital city with wonderful variety are conveyed through decorative elements. They are ordinary things commonly found in Thai people’s everyday life such as wrought iron installed at shophouses ‘ windows, rows of utility poles on both sides of a road, paver blocks or sharp silhouettes of power lines, all reflecting the life of the city that is home to discernible diversity and incredible energy.
