The motto of smart's appearance at the IAA 2017 in Frankfurt am Main is "transforming urban traffic into city flow". The mobility topics of the future are presented on 2,350 m². The key note "city flow" is reflected in architecture and communication through dynamic lines and applied holistically in all media. The traces that change with slight radii symbolize the dynamics, changes and densification of urban mobility. In space, the tracks form dynamic communication bands that surround the themed rooms and display their contents on integrated LED surfaces. A FlipDot matrix is used in the lounge area. All LED surfaces of the stand are part of a communicative overall choreography. At the center, concept cars from Mercedes-Benz and smart are presented under the new EQ label. With the smart vision EQ fortwo, smart is showing its vision of the urban mobility in 2030. To present the numerous ideas surrounding the vehicle an interactive light projection has been developed to create the smart Mobility Lab. For the special features of the concept, entertaining animations can be called up via touch-sensitive points. The smart Event-Area offers a driving experience with the smart electric vehicles, lectures, panel discussions and other activities. Up to 70 people can take part in the events and live broadcasts by seats on the gallery. The adjacent smart city lounge offers a bar area, chill-out seatings and seating areas in a variety of urban materials.
