Some Furniture Pieces

Nestled in the heart of Prague’s New Town, Sir Prague is a hotel that offers a deeply immersive and emotionally engaging spatial experience. Housed in the former Ministry of Coal—a building dating back to 1884—this historic property has been reimagined with sensitivity and creative vigor by Linda Boronkay Studio. The design preserves many of the original Gothic features, including a striking facade and grand stonework, while infusing the interiors with the eclectic character of Prague’s cultural and architectural legacy.

The spatial flow of the hotel invites discovery, with each area revealing a new layer of visual storytelling. The lobby is grand yet warm, featuring a bold mix of antique metals, cubist-inspired patterns, and deep color palettes that reflect the city’s red rooftops, Vltava River, and lush parks. The covered courtyard, ideal for events, glows with delicate trelliswork, greenery, and soft lighting—offering an urban oasis that feels both intimate and theatrical.

Guest rooms are richly detailed, with locally sourced vintage Czech furnishings, whimsical art, and bespoke embroidered headboards that nod to Czech folklore. Every room contains curated pieces from a private Czech art collection, providing guests with a sense of place and narrative. The bathrooms, flooded with natural light, offer serene views of the river, and feature elegant finishes and soaking tubs that elevate the everyday.

From the Murano chandeliers in the library room to the locally crafted glassware and ironmongery, Sir Prague is more than a hotel—it’s a vibrant, soulful reflection of its city.
