Silversquare Antwerp Tower, ’the golden age of corporate kitch’
These whopping 5,500 square meters are more than just a coworking space. Silversquare (SQ) Antwerp Tower (internally named “Officeland”) is a breathtaking amusement park, where entrepreneurs and creative minds can express their full potential.
80’s & 90’s corporate kitsch charm finds harmony with digital-age flexible office needs in this collaboration between SQ’s architects and jewellery designer Stephanie D’heygere. This concept is materialised by playful and surreal elements evoking nostalgia and embracing a world of possibilities and limitless creativity.
Taking inspiration from the avant-garde movements of Dadaism and Surrealism, the designers crafted a space that transcends the ordinary by intentionally highlighting “basic” everyday office essentials to challenge traditional norms. From staple-shaped tables to cups morphing into a giant bar and coffee corners resembling XXXXL Bialetti’s, this space fosters a mindset of thinking outside the box as a pathway to success.
Combining essential amenities with an innovative twist; Silversquare members can choose from a range of office spaces that are equipped with walls that serve as practical work tools. Whether it's jotting down ideas on a chalkboard, brainstorming on a whiteboard, or mind-mapping on magnetic surfaces, these spaces are designed to foster collaboration between co-workers.
Innovation meets sustainability in this workspace equipped with digital access controls, communication screens, and energy-efficient lighting. This environment is covered by recycled aluminium, not only for its eco-friendly properties, but for its impressive durability and sleek aesthetics. Utilizing sustainable materials, promotes the efficient use of resources while creating a modern and sophisticated atmosphere. This sleek aestethic is complemented by lush greenery for the multitudes of benefits it brings. From purifying the air to boosting productivity and fostering well-being, plants enrich the overall experience of the workspace.
Through meticulous space planning and well-defined circulation paths, we cater to our visitors’ needs. To make the most out of the available space, we implemented different platform levels on each floor, which not only enhance external views and natural light penetration but also maximize the rentability of the space. By utilizing platforms, we have successfully concealed essential technical elements such as HVAC systems, electrical boards, and cabling, ensuring a clutter-free and efficient workspace.
