Shift Littleton provides a welcoming environment where people can build authentic connections and plug into a thriving entrepreneurial culture. Shift’s mantra is unapologetically edgy yet luxurious and inviting. Innovation: With two existing urban locations in the Shift Workspace portfolio, Clutch Design Studio set out to create a new experience that drew anchoring and inspiration from its geography, as Littleton has agricultural, equestrian and industrial lineage. Clutch Design Studio held the Shift brand value of intuitive hospitality, while demanding more from a workspace for the current and future needs of its members, and the positive, compounded impacts longer term. These intentions were stated before adding the tactical design and space planning elements, which included challenges such as biophilic design, the use of industrial materials, curated services and amenities, concierge space and offerings, community square footage, indoor/outdoor flow, state-of-the-art filtration systems, and an eye for design that honors local artists and collected objects. Creativity: Shift Littleton’s robust color palette pairs rich reds, shades of black and low lighting with saturated pops of orange, yellow and emerald green. Decorative materials include Timorous Beasties wallcoverings, Brooklyn-based Flavor Paper and tailor-made wall coverings from local books of antiquity. Lustrous finishes and details abound with elements that pay homage to Littleton’s past as an industrial and agricultural hub. Dramatic materials and textures – including heavy wooden timbers, a mix of graphic wallpapers, soft leather furnishings and wool felt ceiling clouds – frame curated artwork from Oaxaca, Mexico-based artists. Functionality: Shift Littleton offers many ways to gather, regardless of group size. Conference rooms can be expanded to accommodate larger meetings, and indoor space flows freely into outdoor space, making it possible to enjoy working outside without sacrificing the conveniences of a standard office setting. Sustainability: As a Certified B Corporation, Shift Littleton meets the highest standards of social and environmental impact. From recycling to intelligent HVAC controls and from LED lighting to a zero carbon footprint goal, Shift Workspaces promotes and enforces sustainable practices as a community of global citizens. Inclusiveness: Shift Workspaces Littleton was designed to foster workplace well-being, inclusiveness and community. Opportunities for collaboration are at the heart of what Shift Littleton seeks to provide members and guests. This wheelchair accessible space offers hosted learning workshops and events that facilitate connections between our members and within the local community, helping to create a sense of belonging.
