Darry Ring is a jewelry store located at Red Town, a famous artist village in Shanghai. It’s the client’s mission to help their customers find the most suitable marry ring for their dearest one. Their rings can only be purchased by a person once, only for his/her spouses, his/her one and only one. Each customer needs to register their ID number and the name of their spouse on Darry Ring’s online system, they are unable to buy another ring for someone else.

The designers are moved by this commitment, so they have incorporated the theme of “forever and only one” to the design of this store. The designers used white to highlight the pure love between couples, and to symbolize wedding and commitment. The eye-catching ribbon-like white ceiling feature runs continuously throughout the ceiling, sometimes intertwined, sometimes dropping off, but it never breaks. It is a never ending loop without any interruption. Not only does it symbolize eternal love, it also represents how couples together overcome struggles and difficulties ahead.

Throughout the whole store, the designers have used ring-shaped decorations and furnishing to subtly convey the theme of “forever and only one”. The ring-shaped display case surrounds the centre column of the store, echoing the theme and at the same time representing Darry Ring’s main product – wedding ring. Cylindrical display rods are placed along the gray toned wall, they are specially designed that each display rod displays only one ring.
