This project, located in Shanghai, was designed as an exhibition space for displaying luxury art pieces. These one-of-a-kind pieces have endured time and age, and their value and historical stories fascinate viewers and collectors.

At the beginning of the design process, while considering the construction of a space suitable for displaying the collection, we introduced the concept of Mono-ha Art, an anti-formalism based on materiality.

Instead of emphasizing too much decoration, the design borrows the original texture of metal, wood, stone, paint, as well as their different states in the passage of time to create space. Natural light is gradually introduced into the interior through the skylight, the flow of light and shadow, and even more environmental ambiance to add a little flavor. The use of sustainable materials creates space while saving costs and reduces the impact on nature at the same time.

Through this approach, the space's quality and the antiques complete each other, growing richer with age and exhibiting a distinct beauty and imprint of time.
