This house aims to broaden the potentials of urban housing by concurrently designing the house and garden while widening the garden’s role. A checkered pattern of the volumes creates an open relation between each room and the garden. The garden becomes the future site for expansion and changes in lifestyle while it provides a comfortable emotional distance between individuals by dividing the house into smaller parts and interposing gardens. The gardens and openness of the house invites all sorts of movement and changes of the world around us. It is a house where garden and life grow together.
