Schuh TwentyTwenty is the result of the retailer’s most recent effort to redesign the visual merchandising for its 132 UK stores. Every aspect of the design is focused on preparing schuh for commercial success in the coming decade by attracting customers aged between 14 and 24 years. It will achieve this by creating a futuristic, visually stimulating space in which schuh will be able to grow steadily into the youth target market. At Unibox, we worked in close collaboration with both Briggs Hillier Design and schuh to develop this system. Revolutionary from floor to ceiling, it is a striking integration of pioneering lighting technologies and custom aluminium extrusions. Both of these elements come together to create an entirely new kind of shopping experience. Having expertise in product development, manufacturing and electrical assembly, our team was able to supply over 120m of illuminated profiles, 1000m of extruded rear support bars and bespoke brackets for just one of schuh’s stores. We also sourced and provided the LEDs used to illuminate the entire system. Decisions regarding the performance of these were guided by our years of industry experience alongside our client’s individual preferences concerning the functionality of the system, their environmental commitments and the overall aesthetic of their stores.
