Design project for SALON DE MEDULLA, a salon specializing in hair treatments, conveniently located a 3-minute walk from Omotesando Station in Tokyo.

The salon is operated by Sparty Inc.

The concept of "Meditation" was inspired by the "core of your hair," which is the origin of the name of Sparty Inc.'s brand of personalized hair care, MEDULLA.

We designed the space to be "a comfortable and relaxing place to fall into one's core.

The first floor of the salon provides counseling and customer service, sells products, and serves as a lounge where customers can relax after their treatments.

The entire space on the first floor is beige-toned, with R curves used as much as possible to create softness, so as not to create angles in the space. The artwork of marble objects glamorizes the space.

Customers can also receive customer service by reflecting their own hair in the mirrors hanging from the ceiling.

After counseling on the first floor, customers are guided to the treatment space on the B1F.

The entrance to the B1F has a cave-like atmosphere to heighten the sense of anticipation.

As you descend the stairs, you will see the world of the treatment space with its unique reddish purple. The water ripples are created by a special motor, which is not repeating itself, but rather a different rhythm is created each time. This effect creates a sense of fantasy for the guests, guiding them into a world of meditation.

The hair care treatment in the meditation space is exceptional, allowing guests to forget the moment for a moment and comfortably fall into their core.

The meditation space, which cannot be experienced in everyday life, is composed of various elements, such as fantastic shadows, a formative effect that heightens the sense of anticipation, ripples of water, museum-like mirrors, and high-quality natural materials.

We hope that these various effects will make MEDULLA a place that will leave a lasting impression not only on the guests who receive treatments at MEDULLA, but also in the design of the space.
