Contour Interior Design, LLC was hired to conceptualize and complete the interior design and interior architecture for the new 51Fifteen restaurant and bar located inside of the fourth largest grossing Saks Fifth Avenue located in Houston’s upscale Galleria area. The Houston Saks Fifth Avenue called for an entirely new building for the high-end retail giant. Nina Magon and her team were hired by Landmark Hospitality group to create a classic modern design for both the restaurant and bar on the 2nd level and the bar on the first level. The entrance features 3 form acrylic lighting by Lightart clustered in different sizes and heights. The blossom lighting features a mixture of brass, grays, blacks and white petals to enhance the overall color palette. For the main bar area, the back bar bottle display has brass shelves and details. The back wall is 3 form backlit to create a glow and multifaceted jewel-like cut stone will serve as the base of the bar. The main flooring features Dekton quartz surface with minor brass details and wood vinyl tile. With this design, we truly wanted to create a space that would make a design statement in Houston, as well as represent classic design with a modern twist.
