This bar is located along the Liuyang River in Changsha. 20 years ago, they were a couple of sewage disposals. As time progressed, they became useless and unsightly building ruins, forgotten by the world. The owner found this rusty spot and wanted the design team to transform it into a jazz bar while preserving its original character.
Considering that this was a renovation project and needed to retain its original flavor, the design retained the 2 giant water tanks and 36 structural columns in a sunken design, looking up to see the rust at the bottom of the original sewage facility. At the same time, the design team also dealt with the issue of underground seepage very carefully to ensure the owner's operation.
The designers linked the ruined materials with vitality, marble and leather cement texture combined with lamps and mirrors to extend the depth of the space. The original water tank and water tanks are transformed into a restaurant, office and VIP space. The whole space is integrated, and the roughness and simplicity of that era can be seen in those unpolished objects, we will preserve the disappeared things and share them with the public.
The designers believe that industry is no longer a wound that needs to be covered up, but a basis for shaping a new aesthetic.
