At RS Barcelona they are artists of play, experts in elevating it and creating memorable experiences, those captivating occasions that stick with us, that we long to repeat. The Art of Play lies in striking a balance between design, aesthetics, and fun; in fusing sophistication with enthusiasm and the joy of living.
For its participation in Salone del Mobile.Milano 2025, RS Barcelona sets out to create a space that was both unique and inspiring. In collaboration with Antoni Pallejà Office, they designed The Temple of Game, an evocative and dreamlike stand.
This ephemeral pavilion strikes a delicate harmony between refinement and playfulness. Built upon a lightweight, inflatable structure, it reinterprets the boundaries between inside and outside. Inspired by summer pavilions, the stand is conceived as a permeable volume, capable of shaping its own atmosphere while maintaining a dialogue with its surroundings.
Like an inflatable castle rooted in the collective memory of our childhood, the pavilion evokes the spirit of play, but through a lens of elegance and uniqueness. Its form recalls the grandeur of classical temples, with towering columns that add a sense of majesty. The design also resonates with the visual language of RS Barcelona's furniture collections.
The pieces are displayed on raised platforms that enhance their artistic appeal, illuminated by focused beams of light projected from outside the structure, drawing attention and sparking curiosity. Visually bold and highly instagrammable, the stand make a bold statement at the show with its creative and daring proposition.
The result is an immersive and distinctive environment, one that sparks emotion and leaves a lasting visual impact. It transforms each product into the centerpiece of an installation that merges art, design, and experience.
The inflatable structure is kept upright by low-energy air blowers discreetly housed within the storage area. These are connected to the air inlets via tubes concealed beneath the platform flooring.
Once dismantled, the structure is compact and easy to transport in a wooden crate. It can be reused and adapted to different spaces and exhibitions. In doing so, the brand reaffirms its commitment to innovation and sustainability—even in its temporary installations.
