This is a coffee shop located in the CBD of Panyu District, Guangzhou. In this case, we do not want the interior space to be over-decorated and the building to be isolated, thus creating the concept of building a house in an indoor space. The space is made up of different geometries, just like building a house on a flat land. Each individual block is like a building, piled up in the form of building blocks. In order to keep each individual block from being isolated, we used a large area of glass and mirrors to connect each different area. Glass plays an important role in this space. Using the high hardness of the tempered glass, glass is used as a load-bearing structure in different areas of the space, and the local area replaces the traditional ceiling and partition wall with glass. The entire space can be released both in the longitudinal and lateral fields of view and the regions are not completely separated. In order to reduce the visual obstacles caused by the bathroom in the middle area, we use the mirror to cover the partition wall of the whole bathroom and cover the wall with a large-area mirror at the end of the space to make the space more open.
