ROCA HOUSE
Roca is a house full of soul and personality. Set between the golf course and the Roca Llisa community in Ibiza, it offers an eclectic mix of art, books, furniture, and materials. Shaped by many influences, the restaurant breaks away from the typical Ibiza bohemian-style venue.

Originally a vibrant clubhouse in the 70s, known for its lively neighborhood parties, the building has been beautifully transformed into a versatile space where you can enjoy fine dining, an afternoon at the pool, a sunset overlooking the golf course or a stroll through the house to admire the art and books.

Before Roca House was Roca House, it was... well, just a house. We had to change the layout, break down walls, build new ones, add flooring, and more. Our goal was for everything to feel like it had always belonged, like it was our own home. That’s why we selected materials in line with the architecture and its surroundings, focusing on textures and depth. For example, we restored the existing terracotta floors, used flagstones, and incorporated rough plaster to give the corners of the walls a soft, rounded feel. These real materials were also used in the furniture, handcrafted in our own atelier in Hasselt—bamboo and cement tables, a wooden bar topped with natural stone—every material was selected with care.

Our involvement went beyond design. We ensured that every little detail had a story to tell. We even developed a ‘secret language’ with which we communicate to our audience. An experience that goes beyond the physical. Simple words on napkins, thought-provoking quotes on walls, and carefully selected books all encourage you to think, dream, and spark conversation. It’s a language that feels personal and playful, something that stays with you long after you’ve left.

The full-scope nature of the project was essential in bringing Roca House to life. We were involved in every stage, not just overseeing the design, but actively guiding the entire process. After selecting the ideal site, we worked closely with the local architect to preserve the building’s character while integrating our design elements. Each phase, from structural changes to the smallest details, was carefully managed to create a cohesive experience.

Roca is a place where guests don’t just dine or celebrate—they feel like they’re part of something bigger. They become part of the story, part of the language. They’re not just walking through a building; they’re experiencing the soul of Roca House.
