The Radioeat is the main restaurant of the first floor of the Maison de la Radio, the French public service radio broadcaster, in Paris. The restaurant can be appreciated through three aspects: the location, the comfort, the atmosphere. The location A wonderful view is set over the Seine River. Customers are watching the wide landscape through the Windows. The curve shape of the building creates a space without borders. The comfort A long and wide sofa limits the restaurant area while preserving it from the sights of the audience of the concert hall. The atmosphere The restaurant is adapting to his host building. The wood butterflies are operating the charm of authenticity as well as the vertical lighting emphasizes the space. The armchairs are designed by Pierre Paulin, who was the original designer of the Maison de la Radio interior spaces. The vertical lights are covered with a kinetic skin to transform them in sympathetic candlesticks. On the upper floor, a bar offers more intimacy in a casual atmosphere. The use of a copper finished Luxalon ceilling is an allusion to the architecture of the Maison de la Radio, designed by french architect Henry Bernard, an homage to the modernism of the 60’s. During the night, the lighting dancefloor and the wall lamps reflected on the curved ceiling are creating kaleidoscope effect animating the space like a disco ball.
