A Slanted floor plan within trees and a creek; sums up the general parameters that this building provided. Located in one of Medellin's fastest and hottest growing neighborhoods, this apartment was designed for a couple that wanted their design to feel tropical, colorful and luxurious, which normally are antagonizing nouns.

Our aim was to bring the natural elements that surround the building in, mixing greens and blues with natural toned woods, concrete tiles and slim decorative lighting. Handmade artisan rugs are the main feature of the spaces alongside the amazing greenery outside the windows., the furniture is there merely as a function and not as the aesthetic driver that the rugs are for example.

The diagonal shape of the building meant we had to design with a slanted floor plan to accommodate the couple's needed program (A Media room with and independent home office, along with the regular needs of a residence) within the 280 sq. mt. available and at the same time make it feel cohesive.
