When We designed our studio, it was not to just create a cosmetic product, but to create spaces that unfold to tell a story. Aesthetics were somehow secondary, and only inserted when required; subtlety to add on some fun.

Functional spaces like the meeting room/Library/Workspaces were positioned and unified through communal zones, Internal garden and a koi pond. The intention use of raw and basic materials narrates how imperfection becomes the new perfection.

This is the philosophy behind the architecture of Genius Loci’s Studio. A total of three voids were created between each functional zone. They were strategic, as to allow wind pockets and the creation of cross ventilation; keeping the internal spaces cool all year round.

A large pitched roof canopy covered the entire architecture, casting a large shade as if under a tree. Natural daylight peered through every opportunity adding depth and shadow.

Nature becomes the natural backdrop and linkage throughout the studio, connecting each space and allowing the interior to blur the boundaries between exterior. Framed views were borrowed using large unobstructed glass panels that opens its views to a tropical crafted landscape, and the sound of falling water.
