An ancient house in the middle of Wattens, in Tyrol, Austria, owned and loved by a family wanting their travelling stories and histories to become alive. Memories of different places needed to be told and set into architectural details. Outcome is a very strong and independent kitchen, that doesn´t need any further explanation. French extravagance meets London and its beer history and Pubs. It functions as the heart of house and brings family and friends together at either a big dining table or at the cosy Pub-area with access to beer the owner brews by himself. Looking out of the windows of the Pub you can see a big marble wall along a hallway full of special details, that remind us of a circus, one of the favourite entertainments of our client. The mirrors and the brass details give the hallway its special characteristics. The brass details follow us up to the new bathroom area entered through a big dressing room. A big window area at the end of the bathroom brings a lot of natural light and provides special views of the garden and pool area. Venetian mirrors and Italian marble express the feelings our client loves, when being on holidays. The whole project is about bringing the world home and creating special atmospheres.
