Stage set design for recording standup comedy special on Netflix. The project represents the Brazilian favela, using wood as its main material, hand painting and iconic scenographic objects, such as kites, sneakers curled in the wires and graffiti barrels The references for this project are in the streets, in music, in rap and poetry, it was walking around and observing graffiti, styles and occupation. Seeing and showing a little of the history ignored by the eyes of many. The lights and colors of the windows of the crowded houses mix with the lights of the stars. The full moon is signed: "Nice", which is the name of the artist's mother, the greatest inspiration and light in his life. The color palette of the scenery talks about the materials found in the periphery: the reused wood, the cement, the brick and the typical blue of the apparent water tank. That same blue is in the pay phone, an icon of Brazilian design, to show not only the success of this object in our country, but also in the details that only those who have seen one up close to know what it is. Lampposts bring illegal energy to most homes and the wires show the extent of what is happening on the streets. It is to see at the same time the innocence of playing with a kite tangled in the wires and later on a few pairs of sneakers hanging, which were not placed there for fun. The visual translation of the favela was built inside a theater in São Paulo for the world to watch on Netflix the comedian “Thiago Ventura”, who gave voice to the favela and made the audience laugh and reflect.
