Inspired from history, culture and life, the designer tried to create a space for people to feel immersive while walking into it. The features of bathhouse, patio, and terrace are adapted to depict the appearance of past and the imagination of future with the contrast of virtualness and reality. Bathhouse is a place for cleansing physically and spiritually.
The designer used a lot of iron construction to make people be able to see through; sunlight and sci-fi elements are fused together into the elegant space. Besides, by overlapping the metal bars and reflection, the designer would like to lead people appreciate the original architecture through the lines.
Wandering between the real past and imaginary future, the limitation of the space is broken through. The waterscape by the entrance as medium merges with metal and stone material, vacating the space for plants to grow, which not only follows the image of space, but presents the symbiosis of inorganic and organic.
Looking out the window, the courtyard is another virtual reality. The indoor elements extend radially to the outdoors with the common centre point. Along with the building, the stepped platform is paved with wood panels radially to solve the poor drainage. By changing the height of sight, the indoor and outdoor space seems to be in a parallel space for mutual observation.
People experience the process of observing and being observed through the white metal bars, glass, and mirror, figuring out the nature of objects. The white steel ladder connects the courtyard with rooftop where the view is broad; surrounded by greenery, people can relax their minds here.
As the time pass by, the variation of light and showdown enhances the layers of space, transferring the imagination into real presentation on the rooftop. People feel the spiritual fulfilment while bathing in the light. The integration of art and design is based on the contemporary aesthetics, refurbishing the bathhouse into a multi-functional space with beauty.
