When this pharmacy moved from its 100-year old location, it hired Zware Jongens to create an upbeat interior using a bright palette to evoke a positive, welcoming mood, ditching the clinical style of the traditional, impersonal pharmacy. They created a free-flowing space where customers can stand next to the pharmacist if they want to, rather than consulting over a counter. The central bar has rose, pink and brass details & the simple but timeless cabinetry is in plywood. A brass lamp covers the entire length of the shop. A giant green cross illuminates the corner and a white island features a display of fruits, teas, plants and bottled water. To entirely adapt to the time, they opted for a robot system instead of the old-fashioned cabinet system. Thus, customers can also select products themselves through interactive screens and make them roll out of the robot. The full concept was also translated into a visual identity that emphasizes engagement & positivism. The fresh colors attune perfectly to the interior and the health aspect: from green, to rose, to beige. The pharmacists personal handwriting & the use of positive quotes on packaging & such, makes it all feel extra personal & engaging.
