On the occasion of the 62nd edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano, Pedrali presented a booth titled #PedraliColoursofLightness. and Designed by the Milan-based studio DWA Design Studio, it revealed an ethereal and dreamlike environment defined by transparencies and characterised by the skillful use of colour and lightweight materials.

The entire space concretised as a pure architectural volume crafted with a textile gauze in celestial blue colour that allowed visitors to glimpse and perceive the interior of the stand. To enhance the idea of lightness, a fabric veil hanged from the ceiling, seemingly responding to the motion of the air, like floating sails moved by the wind. This veil created an almost transparent ceiling with a cerulean hue that, through a delicate interplay of layers, imparted an architectural rhythm to the area. Simultaneously, it conveyed the environment a cozy and almost enchanted atmosphere.

In order to pursue the sustainable philosophy that has always guided the company, attention was paid to the selected materials, the optimisation of raw material consumption, resource rationalisation, material reuse/recycling, and disassemblability in the design phase of the stand. This translated into emptying the space of superfluous elements, reducing it to the essential. Furthermore, all elements used within the stand were designed to be disassembled and reused, thereby maximising the durability and sustainability.

The celestial blue colour of the architecture, which served as a background and creates continuity, matched by equally soft and delicate shades in different sets, reminiscent of the nuances of the sky throughout the day. Meanwhile, more intense and bold notes of colours characterised the products, highlighting them within the scene. This choice was inspired by the art world, particularly the paintings of Giorgio Morandi and the photographs of Luigi Ghirri.

The landscape design integrated seamlessly and harmoniously, with nature taking center stage in all installations, defined by shades of colour of different seasons. Delicate ground plants defined the outdoor area, while hanging plant compositions create an almost surreal atmosphere within the indoor spaces.
These green clouds, presented themselves as artistic installations that delicately decorate the setting, emphasising the importance of bringing nature into our everyday lives. The natural element is exalted, and the interplay of shadows created a partitioning of spaces, allowing the visitor's imagination to take over.

#PedraliColoursofLightness invited people to discover worlds where every nuance tells a story and every moment is a revelation. The journey is a promenade that winds through seven settings, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of a sunny day, moving from the cool tones of early morning to the warm tones typical of sunset.
