“Pearls on Swine” embodies a fearless approach to living and design, demonstrating that innovation can emerge from everyday materials. This project invites a re-examination of familiar elements: stone, steel, wood, tile, and glass, transforming them into a thought-provoking yet comforting environment.
The varied tile patterns on the floor create a dynamic landscape, ready to withstand the rigors of daily life, from playful pets to bustling gatherings. Rising from this base, tumbled stone forms multipurpose partitions that offer both privacy and a tactile experience, blurring the lines between structure and comfort.
Stainless steel, often relegated to utilitarian roles, takes on a new identity here. It adorns furniture and fixtures, combining strength with adventure. The living room’s center table is an innovative composition of three segments, where stainless steel side tables seamlessly integrate with a wooden core. The two beds, made predominantly from stainless steel, challenge conventional notions of comfort and aesthetics, inviting occupants to engage with their surroundings in fresh ways.
The standing bar pole counter serves as a striking connective element between the bar and seating areas. This floor-to-ceiling modular piece showcases a fusion of steel, stone, wood, and metal, with whimsical 3D shapes and intricately carved wooden flowers showing innovation combined with art.
The kitchen façade showcases our commitment to innovation; anti-scratch tiles, steel, solid wood, leather, and concrete intermingle, transforming a mundane structure into a captivating focal point.
This home transcends conventional expectations, fostering a dialogue between its inhabitants and the materials that shape their daily lives. With its brutalist inspiration and inventive use of materials & textures, “Pearls on Swine” redefines what a living space can be, inviting exploration and engagement in every corner. The result is a home that celebrates innovation, creativity, and the fearless spirit of its occupants.
