At Pacific Standard Time, Parts and Labor Design created a concept that brings a residential West Coast vibe to the Windy City. With inspiration drawn from the market driven menu, the idea of the domestic chefs table and intimacy of preparation is at the heart of the design.

The open and airy layout allows the guest experience to be centered around the connection to the kitchen and the preparation happening within. A shared experience is created through a continuous line of site from open kitchen to façade which was designed to mirror the softness of the interior utilizing a tone on tone palette of creams and whites.

The symmetrical bar draws the energy of the room to the center of the space emphasizing socialization and interaction. Curved plaster walls mimic the architecture of the custom wood burning ovens implying a unity of form and function. The plaster work only interrupted by a pitched wood beam ceiling reminiscent of pitched roofs embraces West Coast residential architecture.
