Change-making project which included renovation of the 1st floor of the emblematic OTE headquarters building, relocation of OTEestate’s headquarters and redesign of the working type model.
The client asked for an innovative workspace arrangement which would care for the employees’ well-being, achieve space management optimization, represent the company’s profile and provide flexibility.
The concept idea was about transforming the workspace into a new working space landscape, through the alteration of the existing strict geometry.
In the administration section a freeform volume is introduced. It changes the form and direction of common areas and organizes the directors’ offices around it. It includes the meeting areas and is the heart of the company’s activities. Transparency and flow of movement and ideas are combined with privacy.
In the employees’ workspace section we create a working unit space model which belongs to each employee exclusively. This working unit space model is multiplied and repositioned to articulate the new semi-open working environment, which combines the advantages of the privacy of closed offices with those of communication, continuity and space optimization of open space arrangements.
The final result creates a different aspect of the workplace inside the building where the sense of continuity, between the inside and the outside, as well as between the workspace and the moving- meeting-relax areas is restored.
