Overview Following landmark locations in other world cities such as One 57 in New York, One Hyde Park in London and One Shenzhen Bay, the Chinese capital Beijing now has a new architectural landmark of its own: One Sanlitun. The skyscraper is already a valuable addition to the city's skyline, and the apartments furnished by CCD are a feast for the eyes. CCD/Cheng Chung Design used for a series of luxury apartments in this skyscraper inspiration from international brands of the highest level: Armani, Aston Martin, Chanel, Hermès, Bottega Veneta and Fendi. Cheng is known for introducing Western artistic forms into Oriental concepts. The apartment we see here, for example, takes characteristic elements from the Italian luxury fashion brand Fendi bringing the classic style of Rome to Beijing. Bring Italian Class to China Fendi has a great connection with Rome and a rich history in supporting the cultural and architectural heritage of the city. In its majestic and broad classical history, it has drawn inspiration from the countless traces of amazing time left behind, injecting new vitality, and praising the eternal glory of Rome with its colorful images! For the apartment One Sanlitun - Fendi, CCD was inspired by the same philosophy where a balance is sought between the classical and the modern, the sophisticated and the playful. It integrates Italian history and humanity to take Fendi's brand story as the design inspiration and present Fendi’s art, fashion and lifestyle in an elegant way. Marble The design team quotes the Roman Emperor Octavian: "I found Rome a city of bricks and left it a city of marble." Since ancient times, marble has been used as a symbol of wealth and status to highlight the sense of classical magnificence. Natural stone is abundant in this apartment in the floors, walls, fireplace, kitchen and impressive staircase. The staircase is a nod to the famous Spanish Steps in the Italian capital. Guided by a sculptural marble staircase, the 6.2-meter-high ceiling space brings an ultra-wide aerial view which lining the clear and vast sky outside the window. “Water” Elements Velvet armchairs, fireplace, marble niche, combined with the brass elements, each place is exquisite and graceful while a water-shaped resin chair is tactfully integrated into FENDI’s favorite element, "water". Rome is also known for its many fountains. CCD was inspired by this for the beautiful lighting. The exquisite chandelier on the stairs is the abstract evolution of the fountain, which complements the metal handrails, and highlights the modernity in the elegance. Window Scene The super-scale restaurant is a very open space with 270-degree floor-to-ceiling windows, which blur the boundaries between indoor design and outdoor scenery. The hollow ceiling and ring-shaped glass wall of the upstairs also make a panoramic view of the prosperity of Sanlitun. Fendi's gorgeous and timeless peculiarities are performed in the bedroom. The high-quality fabrics, exquisite craftsmanship, plus warm elements used in the bedroom design fully interpret the spirit and culture of this Italian luxury brand. The main bathroom continues the marble paving and carving. While the natural light slopes down in the shower room and bathtub area, it is the highlight moment of this space that shows the echoes between the building and the city skyline. The large windows give a unique view of the city, the marble design and the “water” style lights give you the feeling of living in a castle in the sky. In the luxurious materials and textiles, the magnificent craftsmanship and the intimate but sumptuous and warm atmosphere we again recognize the values of Fendi.
