On’s London headquarters is rooted in nature, movement and innovation. Drawing inspiration from the flow of the River Thames, the design expresses a narrative of movement through an urban setting, delivering a space that aligns with On’s brand values and supports creativity, collaboration and connection.

The interior brings On’s identity to life with a material-led, human-centric approach. Striking rammed earth walls are handmade, using naturally dyed clay from southern England. The tonal layering reflects the geological makeup of the River Thames basin, anchoring the space in its London context. This sculptural element forms a creative “gem”, a signature of On’s global offices.

The layout promotes movement and interaction. Organic circulation routes encourage exploration while meandering paths guide users between open work zones, quiet focus areas and communal spaces. A central teapoint and thoughtfully positioned water stations promote wellbeing and connection throughout the day.

Innovation is woven throughout the design. The showroom creates an interactive brand experience. A custom circular meeting table includes an integrated touchscreen and RFID reader that activates digital content when products are placed on its surface. Meeting rooms incorporate chamfered walls inspired by Le Corbusier to soften spatial flow and maximise light. A smart “kill switch” reduces out-of-hours energy use, adding to the workplace’s sustainable performance and efficiency.

Materiality plays a key role in both concept and execution. The sustainability team reviewed all finishes to reduce ecological impact. Clayworks plaster, Marmoleum flooring and an aluminium glazing system were selected for their low carbon profiles, local availability and design integrity. The aluminium system was stripped of finishing layers to expose the true material, reducing emissions and echoing On’s philosophy of honesty in design. M Moser evolved the client’s global material palette to reflect choices suited to sustainable UK construction. Localisation informed every decision, resulting in a workspace that meets On’s environmental benchmarks and considers future BREEAM compatibility.

Collaborating closely with On’s design team, M Moser translated the brand’s identity, functional needs and cultural values into a clear architectural vision. The layout was optimised in line with this intent. The space is designed for flexibility, with modular meeting rooms, reconfigurable furniture and adaptable settings to support varied work styles. Workstations are placed near natural light. Access to outdoor terraces and amenities such as showers and prayer rooms support wellbeing and inclusivity.

On London shows how sustainability and storytelling can be seamlessly integrated. Rooted in its context, the space reflects On’s brand through natural finishes, reused furnishings, innovation and local craftsmanship. It champions wellbeing and redefines how workplaces connect people to place and purpose.
