Ogimomo, a new cake shop and bistrot, has recently opened at the foot of Turin’s hills. The venues used to house another cake shop but the new project has completely abandoned the previous atmosphere making way to a fresher, more contemporary environment in line with the creative vision of the owners. The café’s open layout flows easily from the pastry counter at the entrance to an indoor eating area to the green patio, specifically designed as a flexible space suitable for children’s party or recreational moments for families living in the neighborhood. Ogimomo’s strong geometric lines are balanced by an abundance of natural materials, including wood accents and seating and a terrazzo stone floor. Vegetation connects the venues with the outer part through plants insertions in furniture and pendants lights. The essential design is the result of a deep functional analysis aimed to take advantage of all the space available without compromising an open plan layout. The light coming in through the wide windows, the warmth of wood, the bright-colored details and the selection of lamps and furniture give personality to the renovated spaces. The brand identity was entirely re-designed from the logo to its adaptation to shop signs, windows, menu, packaging, labels and website. All these elements digitally and physically enrich Ogimomo’s identity embodying its spirit and identify Ogimomo as an innovative spot in Turin’s hospitality scenario.
