Revolutionizing Urban Living
Located less than 5km from airoirt in Fukuoka, Japan, a gateway to Asia, NOT A HOTEL FUKUOKA redefines the hotel-condominium model, blending private living with hotel accommodations. Leveraging a full IoT system via a dedicated app, it allows owners to seamlessly switch between personal use and hotel rental. By embracing the philosophy of "living like you're traveling," it delivers a flexible lifestyle where users can managereservations and interior facilities across other NOT A HOTEL properties, setting a new benchmark for adaptable urban living.
Pioneering Hybrid Living
NOT A HOTEL FUKUOKA introduces a revolutionary hybrid living model, addressing urban challenges by combining personal and hotel usage. The project’s collaboration with local authorities to relocate powerlines for better sightlines underscores its commitment to urban innovation, optimizing private and communal space interaction.
Architectural Creativity
Inspired by natural landscapes, the building’s design resembles a small mountain or three-dimensional townscape, achieved by stacking “houses” of varied shapes. Each of the eight unique guest rooms reflects a distinct theme. Staggered terraces and greenery-covered facades enhance visual appeal while creating functional separations, resulting in a multifaceted living environment. Interiors balance artistic expression with functionality, celebrating diversity and individuality while resonating with the local community.
Human-Centric Design
The property prioritizes human needs with eight unique units catering to diverse lifestyles, including pet-friendly accommodations, workspaces, and wellness-focused suites. Each unit is equipped with kitchens and layouts suitable for short- or long-term stays. Volumetric planning minimizes shadows on the adjacent park, preserving natural light and outdoor enjoyment. The design harmonizes private and communal spaces, fostering openness and integration was well received at the pre-building brieifing to the local community.
Sustainability and Community Impact
NOT A HOTEL FUKUOKA is committed to environmental and social sustainability. Its tiered, green facade reduces heat absorption and limits direct sunlight, cutting energy consumption. Integration with the adjacent park enhances biodiversity and strengthens urban-nature connections. It fosters cultural exchange and community engagement by allowing guests to experience Fukuoka as temporary residents, enriching both the community and visitor experiences.
Vision for the Future
In conclusion, NOT A HOTEL FUKUOKA blends innovation, creativity, functionality, and eco-social impact. It challenges conventional hospitality with a dynamic, adaptable, and sustainable living model that harmonizes with both people and the environment. This visionary project serves as a model for future urban developments, redefining how spaces enrich human connections and address social and environmental challenges.
