Noke is a shopping center birthed from the DNA of the property developer, the design team, and the geographical environment.
Incorporating elements of mountain climbing in the design, each floor in the shopping center displays abstract representations of mountain landscapes at various altitudes, simulating a natural exploration experience for customers, offering a unique and enjoyable atmosphere distinct from typical malls. This thematic design allows customers to clearly sense the differences between floors and sparks curiosity, encouraging them to continue exploring towards the summit.
Inspired by Zhang Daqian's landscape paintings, Noke features different elements depicting mountain sceneries at different altitudes on each floor, allowing customers to feel like they are exploring mountains and casually purchasing goods as if collecting stones and leaves. Therefore, the ground floor evokes the image of paddy fields. Ripples on a lake inspired the visual of the first floor. The lines and dots on the second-floor ceiling are modeled after light piercing through the needles of pine trees. Sea of clouds becomes the circles of the third floor. The fourth floor is the mountain hut, a resting stop before reaching the snowy top of the fifth floor.
With a focus on people, this design prioritizes customer comfort by widening aisles and arranging products in clean, minimalist spaces, allowing shoppers to browse alleys more freely. The emphasis on a comfortable environment becomes one of Noke's selling points. The open layout not only enhances visual appeal but also encourages natural flow into store spaces, eliminating subconscious hesitations caused by spatial divisions.
Noke focuses on creating a sense of openness and enhances natural lighting through extensive use of windows, cultivating a fresh and comfortable atmosphere distinct from conventional shopping centers.
Designers selected building materials that seamlessly blend natural aesthetics with cost-effectiveness, while ensuring safety and durability. From flame-retardant wallpaper to robust melamine laminated board, each element reflects a commitment to quality. Noke's distinctive design boasts exceptional natural lighting and transparency, significantly reducing the need for artificial lighting during daylight hours compared to its competitors. This aligns perfectly with the theme of natural mountain scenery, further enhancing the immersive experience for customers.
