The brand NOK originated from special memories of eating out when I was young, especially the meat-grilling culture that has an important meaning in Korean life. We designed it with the hope that it would be a space where you can chat while grilling melted meat, eat delicious food with family, friends, and colleagues, and create unforgettable moments.

The façade concept is a ‘modern reinterpretation of Korean sentiment.’ I am inspired by old things that remind me of the past. Thinking of Korean houses made of bricks. A pattern was created on the front using flesh-colored mosaic tiles. These tiles extend into the interior of the store, giving a sense of unity to the space. In addition, the vertical spokes that can be seen in windows are a familiar device that can be easily seen in Korean residential culture. They play a role in connecting the past and present, and the existing vertical design has been reinterpreted to add a modern feel. This applies to windows, partitions, and doors.

The charcoal brazier table has also been reinterpreted in a modern form. In order to create a dense brand, all furniture and props in addition to tables and chairs were manufactured exclusively for Nok.
