This is a renovation project. The client wants to change this shop into a beauty salon. It will serve female customers mainly. Thus the space requires a higher level of privacy. The designers created a mysterious atmosphere through spatial layout and planning.

The high ceiling height expands the existing mezzanine area. The space of reception area is like a tall “mountain cave”, full of different openings and natural lights, and vertical wooden bars are used to strengthen visual effects of a spacious reception area. Concealed cabinets are designed on the walls inside the room, in order to store the skin care products and equipment.

A quiet, comfortable and private storefront is created on the noisy street.
