MOON.F Collection dedicated to pre-owned luxury fashion items, providing in-store experiences and services mainly including the appraisal, recycling and consignment of luxury bags and accessories. Leaping Creative resorted to the selected materials such as mosaic to create a unique multi-brand store.

A pendant “moon” installation was set above the arched doorway at the storefront. The reflective mirror and the hollow structure made an interesting angle, as if another “self” was looking down from another space. Through such a clever yet simple installation, subtle connections were emerged between the inside and the outside, the top and the bottom, people, and space, as well as physical and spiritual worlds, thus creating a fun interaction in the space.

A partition wall between two originally independent spaces was opened, to generate much more availability while forming a central double-floor block in the form of a “hourglass”. Core functional areas for luxury items display and consignment were set in the block, so that each area was independent and was also partly connected with others. Such a design strategy enabled efficient use of the main space on the first floor, and meanwhile created a memorable spatial structure.

The consignment area was designed with a window with appropriate openness, which not only catered to the needs of luxury items appraisal and consignment businesses, but also brought store staff closer to customers, highlighted their proficiency.

Large areas of black mosaics were applied to the spiral staircase, unexpectedly producing a deep spatial realm. Besides, the designers created a cut between the second floor and landing of the staircase to form a dramatic angle. Through the narrow glass gap, the visual interaction between people at the upper and lower levels of the space was strengthened.

As entering the second floor through the staircase, customers will be impressed by a strong visual contrast between black and white, which generated a suitable setting to display luxury clothing and jewelry items in various styles and colors. The “moon” installation was clearly visible from the second floor. Enclosed by glass in a double-height hollow space, the pendant installation created an impressive scene in the store.

Heavy rocks were combined freely against a purely white background. The rough stone texture was a metaphor for the moon surface. Solidness and delicateness contrasted yet coexisted in the space, generating a natural, elegant aesthetic.

Inspired by moon phases, the ceiling lamps were arranged in the same way as the moon changes, achieving a subtle combination of function and form.
