Inspired by the worlds of Star Trek's Enterprise and the spirit of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Mireo’s new office has been designed as a space that pushes the boundaries of the traditional work environment. The design brings added value to an already highly structured and efficient community, emphasising diversity, inclusion, and creative freedom. Every detail is crafted to support not only productivity, but also the well-being and inspiration of the people who use it.
Shared areas, such as kitchens and collaboration zones, are shaped in a retro-futuristic style – with bold colors, curved lines, and materials reminiscent of space lounge interiors. Drawing inspiration from Enterprise’s “Ten Forward” lounge and the colorful, surreal visuals of The Hitchhiker’s Guide, these zones foster social interaction, spontaneous brainstorming, and informal teamwork. They’re designed to bring people together, spark creativity, and break down the boundaries between departments. Even the furniture and lighting are chosen to support an atmosphere of openness, playfulness, and imaginative thinking.
In contrast, workspaces are more neutral in tone – airy, functional, and adaptable, focused on concentration and comfort. The clean design and modular layout allow for both individual focus and seamless transitions into collaborative tasks. With attention to acoustics, lighting, and ergonomic details, these areas promote sustained productivity without sacrificing a sense of calm. The subtle contrast between shared zones and focused spaces creates a rhythm throughout the office that mirrors the natural flow of the workday.
This conceptual approach reflects Mireo’s belief in a future of work grounded in respect for diversity, equality, and freedom of thought. Much like the crew of the Enterprise, the Mireo team believes that innovation comes from the intersection of different perspectives — and that the space in which we work is just as important as what we create within it. The office becomes a living reflection of the company's values: open, inclusive, and always looking forward. In embracing this vision, Mireo redefines what a modern workspace can be — a place where imagination and innovation thrive side by side.
