The exterior harmonises the surroundings with flat, modular steel panels. At street level one can peer into the heterogeneous, continuously pleated spaces within. The discontinuous holes cut through the linear narrative of time and collage it into a collection of fragments at multiple points in time.
The clutter of the external world is replaced by the purity of the interior, where the clean white material allows the perception of light to intensify, space shifts, light shifts and shapes shift. Light also permeates the spaces due to the holes.
Distortions are transmitted everywhere by the force of the revolving staircase. Here the folds are at their richest and the sense of dynamism is intensified. The heterogeneous space mixes exterior features, vestibules, traffic, light and consultation into a complex of forms and experiences.
The flat, blurred sheet metal base still has a strange, disorienting dreaminess to it. The warm touch of wood and the jumping colours of leather act as the most intimate physical elements of the space, drawing one back into the safe warmth of the dining scene and resisting the coldness of metal.
