Office space needs to provide a comfortable working environment, and at the same time, it is also a window for visitors to understand the company. It must fully interpret the corporate image. As designers, we deeply feel the significance. The client of this project is a rapidly growing IT company. Their team is active and young, full of energy that nurtures innovation. However, the products they developed are very sophisticated and mature. The inspiration for innovation is originally a rough stone. After continuous polishing, it gradually appears refined and tends to be completed. From this company, we have experienced this polishing process that breeds and creates new things. According to the client's needs, we planned three major functional areas: entrance hall area, gallery area, and lab (staff) area. In addition, due to the large number of visitors, we have increased the visitor space and the lab space available to visit, forming an experimental gallery space based on display. Based on the above content, in the design of this office space, we hope to reflect the characteristics of the company and the product at the same time. First we reset the site back to the rough state. Different functional zones have their own ceilings, walls and floors. The main materials are stainless steel plates, metal square tubes, glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) grilles, metal grids, stained glass and other industrial materials that are made finely to form a contrast effect in the rough space. The contrast of elements in the office space subtly conveys the coexistence of rugged and delicate characteristics of corporate and product. In this way, a new office space that resembles a research institute, an exhibition space, and an office is born. We hope this space can be an opportunity to inspire innovation for employees.
