Mata Hari: an innocent exotic dancer or a dangerous spy? The life of the Frisian-born Mar-garetha Zelle has always aroused the imagination. Exactly 100 years after her execution, the Museum of Friesland opened the largest Mata Hari exhibition to date. Studio Louter and OPERA Amsterdam developed the concept in close cooperation with the Museum of Fries-land. In addition, Studio Louter made all the projections and interactive media and OPERA Amsterdam made the spatial design. The exhibition brings visitors closer to Mata Hari than ever before. You will be taken back to her childhood in Leeuwarden, see projections of the exotic dance in which she slowly reveals her naked body and you can read her heart-wrenching personal letters and military files that have never been exhibited before through a transcription application. You cannot help but sympathise with the girl behind the myth.
