Maestral Resort and Casino, a large complex consisting of 230 guest rooms and apartments, a fully equipped spa and wellness center, restaurants and bars, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a casino is located in Sveti Stefan, Montenegro. The existing 70s pre-cast concrete and brick structure has been refurbished and updated. In the lobby lounge large ceiling mirrors double the height, wooden partitions, furnishings upholstered in brightly colored velvet, and oxidized gold surfaces dominate the space. Oversized golden pendant lights mark the route to the grandiose staircase that has been re-designed as it leads to two exclusive restaurants and the casino. Rich red velvets, thick carpets and golden wallcoverings, extensive use of ceiling mirrors, latticed partitions in gold lacquer, crystal and golden luminaires add a sense of luxury to the spaces. In the main restaurant, bar and terrace colours and materials are lighter, textiles are linen, the atmosphere is cool offering relaxation and refreshments after a dip in the pool. The Spa is located directly below. All poolside and wet areas have been re-clad in in natural tone tiles and wooden screens in brushed natural oak wood. Guest rooms and apartments have been redesigned. In certain room types Jacuzzis and custom-made freestanding washbasins were added in the sleeping area. Strategically placed mirrors create the illusion of larger spaces, light colours give off a sense of elegance, luxury and intimacy.
