Named after Charlotte, the lovable and charming protagonist of the novel The Sorrows of Young Werther, LOTTE is a company that has been providing satisfaction and trust to many customers for a long time. Inspired by the story of LOTTE's origins, LABOTORY worked with Space Strategy Team at LOTTE Department Store to plan and design LOTTE VIP lounges.

During the planning phase, we divided the book into chapters based on the development of the story. The Orange Lounge is the setting for the first chapter, "Red Ribbons, Red Faces" which Lotte and Werther meet for the first time. We imagined the lounge as a loving and affectionate place, with the charming scenery represented by the composition of the space, the scenes of excitement by its elegant forms, and the loving emotions by its warm colors.

The layout of sunlight deep into the space suggests a cozy shelter at the end of the garden, and the red color of the space represents Werther's blushing face. The elegant silhouettes and fluid flow of the space also create a sense of tension and allow the viewer to journey through various emotions within the space.

We hope that everyone who visits this lounge, which was planned and designed together with Space Strategy Team at LOTTE Department Store, will experience moments as exciting as Lotte and Werther's first meeting.
