This nail salon opened in Ginza, central Tokyo.
A glass wall displaying manicures is placed in the space that extends straight from the entrance.
Each treatment corner is transformed into a personal space by using two L-shaped wooden lattice partitions that stand on their own. The vertical and horizontal lattices are rhythmically combined so that you can feel the presence of the space while blocking the line of sight. After applying nail or pedicure, there is a lounge where you can relax while waiting for it to dry.
The entire space is mainly made of wood that you will not get tired of even if you use it for a long time. All of the furniture and fittings in the salon were originally designed for this salon, taking into consideration the size and functionality as much as possible. The plinths of these personal corners are square. Starting with the pedestal, all of the furniture that makes up the treatment area is movable. Therefore, the layout can be made flat at any time.
While repeating small renovations, we have created a space design that can be used for a long time while maintaining a fresh space composition.
